Windkist is preferred by horses and owners
alike! Our modern boarding facility consists of a
large 41-stall barn, indoor riding ring, and
heated/air conditioned viewing center overlooking
the ring. The stalls are spacious, with easy access
via large sliding doors. Our miles of trails in and
around Harold Parker State Forest provide plenty of
room to roam. We have an outdoor cross-country
jumping course and ample paddock space for daily
turn out of all horses. Paddocks all have large
sheds for the horses as well.
Rates as of April, 2006.
Boarding: Leasing: Half lease: $300 per month, consisting of
two rides per week for 11/2 hour or three rides per
week for 1 hour depending on availability of
horses. Unless special arrangements are made, all lease
holders must be involved in the lesson program at
the barn. Lessons: Practice:
$40.00 per hour.
•12x12 inside stall:
$625.00/month
•12x12 stall with window: $650.00/month
•12x14 inside stall: $650.00/month
•12x14 stall with window stall:
$675.00/month
Quarter lease: $150 per month,
consisting of one ride per week for 90 minutes or
two rides per week for 3/4 hour depending on
availability of the horse.
$45.00 - 1/2 hour private
$80.00 - 1 hour private
$50.00 - 1 hour group
$40.00 - 1/2 hour group
Trail Ride:
$45.00 per hour (with instructor)
Our experienced staff looks after the health, safety and comfort of all the horses. Feeding is done twice daily with Blue Seal Strider, Purina Senior and Vintage Sweet Feed. Timothy clover mixed hay is fed 4 times daily and Equitrol is fed during the fly season. Supplements and medications are fed as requested.
